Jupiter

The Big Planet

by Anita

Jupiter...the fifth and by far the largest planet in our solar system. No one has ever been there, so it remains a mystery.

Jupiter has always been the largest planet. It has a diameter of 142 800 km. It has a mass of 1.90x10^27 kg. Its mean density is 1314 kg/m^3.

Jupiter has great red spot. It is said this spot is a giant gas storm. The spot's color ranges from pink to orange, but can look red from Earth. The spot is so large it can hold more than 3 Earths and still have room to spare.

Jupiter has the most moons out of all the planets in the solar system. All together there are at least 39 known moons. The 4 main moons are Ganymede, Callisto, Io and Europa. Ganymede is the largest of Jupiter's moons, in fact it is the largest moon in the solar sysytem..

Jupiter, as you can read, is a very interesting planet. I hope it will be a large impact in the world's knowledge for centuries to come.
