With the exciting
news about the Spirit Rover landing on Mars, our class decided that
we would go to Mars for our shuttle mission. They also decided they
needed to build models of the Spirit and Opportunity Rovers.
Two engineering teams were responsible for building the Martian
rovers, Spirit and Opportunity. We were able to watch a NASA
simulation on the Internet that showed the rovers in action. Other
other research data came from the newspaper articles that documented
their progress on Mars.
Children worked diligently to
represent the key components of the actual rovers into their models,
including the microscopic imager..
The following photos show the
children working on these rovers. |
